Celebration Tourida – Full Fall Tour and Free New EP

Today The Felice Brothers announced ‘Celebration, Tourida‘: an eight and a half week long national US tour that launches September 21st in Pittsburgh, PA and runs through November 19th in South Burlington, VT. ‘Celebration, Tourida‘ includes the band’s first Los Angeles show following the May release of their fourth full-length album Celebration, Florida (Fat Possum), hitting The Troubadour on October 28th. The majority of the dates are headlining shows, save September 21st supporting The Dodos; September 22nd supporting Okkervil River in Chicago, IL; November 10th supporting Dr. Dog in New Orleans, LA; and November 18th supporting Deer Tick in Boston, MA. The Felice Brothers are also confirmed to perform at the MidPoint Music Festival in Cincinnati, OH, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco, CA, the City Arts Festival in Seattle, WA, and the Orlando Calling Festival in Orlando, FL at different points throughout the tour.

Before heading out on ‘Celebration, Tourida‘, The Felice Brothers will first perform a pair of mid-Atlantic area shows beginning tomorrow in Wilmington, DE as well as two southeastern shows in early September. The band was set to perform at the now-postponed Winocafest in Wilmington, NC this weekend and has also now canceled their show at King’s Barcade in Raleigh, NC this Sunday. A current full itinerary is below.

Beginning today, The Felice Brothers will post a free MP3 of a new song on their website (www.thefelicebrothers.com) each Wednesday for the next five weeks. When combined, the five tracks will comprise the Poughkeepsie Princess EP, with all songs recently recorded in their converted chicken coop at home in Catskills, NY. The first song, “Among The Missing,” is now available as a free download here: http://www.thefelicebrothers.com/poughkeepsieprincess/.

Celebration, Florida has been praised by publications including American Songwriter, Entertainment Weekly, Maxim, SPIN, Time Out New York, and The Wall Street Journal, among many others, and an extensive interview with the band can be seen on Noisevox.org. The striking Ian Cinco-directed video for lead single “Ponzi,” which premiered on The A.V. Club in May, can be seen here.
